A local candidate for Congress held a breakfast Tuesday morning after casting his ballot early.
Mel Hall, a Democrat running for the 2nd District of Indiana, cast his vote at the County-City Building in South Bend.
Hall is challenging incumbent Republican Jackie Walorski for the congressional seat in the upcoming November midterm election.
Hall says he believes the people should vote for the right person to lead their district.
“I think everyone who is on the ballot deserves our consideration. I believe we vote for the person who will best represent the ideals and Hoosier values that we all espouse,” Hall said.
The midterms are next Tuesday, November 6.
