The New Democrats are forward-thinking, pro-growth Members who bring pragmatic solutions to the opportunities and challenges we face as a nation.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Mel Hall, Democratic nominee for Congress in Indiana’s 2nd District, announced today that he has been endorsed by the New Democrat Coalition.
“I’ve spent my life working to solve problems, and I’ll take that same approach to Congress,” said Hall. “The New Democrats work across the aisle to give working families a fair shot and to find new solutions to important problems we face as a nation. I’m honored to have their support and I look forward to working with the New Democrats in Congress.”
“Mel knows that the toughest problems we face today can’t be solved through partisanship or division,” said Jon Boughtin, political director for the NewDemPAC. “That forward-thinking approach to governance is what makes Mel a clear fit for the New Democrat Coalition. We know Mel has what it takes to bring home a win in Indiana’s 2nd District, and we’re pleased to welcome him to the team.”
Hoosiers across the 2nd District are ready for a pragmatic representative after six years of Jackie Walorski’s out of touch, extreme politics. Hall’s common sense approach to growing jobs, raising wages, and improving health care continues to resonate in the district. Hall looks forward to working with the New Democrats to grow our economy and to help hardworking Hoosier families succeed.
