Second District Democratic Congressional candidate Mel Hall announced today that he has been endorsed by the Blue Dog Democrats. “I’m thrilled to have earned the endorsement of the Blue Dogs, a group that holds my same commitment to finding common ground and building shared solutions,” said Hall. “I look forward to joining members of the coalition in Congress to build a better future for hardworking Hoosier families.”
“Mel is a pragmatic candidate with a deep commitment to finding common ground. He is not beholden to party leadership and ideological extremes,” said Congressman Kurt Schrader, Blue Dog PAC Co-Chair. “Mel will bring a common-sense approach to Congress and deliver results for Indiana’s 2nd District.”
This endorsement follows Hall’s resounding primary victory on May 8th, in which he won all ten counties in a six-way race. Hall has now been endorsed by the Blue Dog Democrats, the United Steelworkers, End Citizens United, and the Indiana AFL-CIO, among others.
The Blue Dogs are leaders in Congress who are committed to pursuing fiscally-responsible policies, ensuring a strong national defense, and transcending party lines to do what’s best for the American people.
