Ratings change shows Hall building momentum; incumbent Walorski vulnerable.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Today, Democratic Congressional Candidate Mel Hall announced that Roll Call’s Inside Elections downgraded the race rating for Indiana’s 2nd District from “Solid Republican” to “Likely Republican.”
“Voters in the 2nd District are responding to Mel’s commitment to protecting health care, growing good-paying jobs, and providing accountable leadership in Congress,” said Max Harris, Hall’s campaign manager. “This ratings change is another sign of our momentum heading towards November.”
The downgrade from Inside Elections comes on the heels of Hall’s impressive primary win, where he won all ten counties of the 2nd District and carried 42% of the vote in a six-way race. This change also follows the Cook Political Report and CNN in downgrading Hall’s race from “Solid/Safe Republican” to “Likely Republican,” a sign of Hall’s growing momentum as he continues to take his message of protecting health care and growing good-paying jobs to voters in the 2nd District.
