FORMER GOSHEN MAYOR ALLAN KAUFFMAN ENDORSES MEL HALL
GOSHEN, Ind. – Second District Democratic Congressional Candidate Mel Hall announced today that former four-term Mayor of the City of Goshen Allan Kauffman endorsed his campaign.
“As a minister, Mel chose to be placed in the most challenged neighborhoods in Detroit, where he worked seven years improving the lives of people much less fortunate than most of us. As CEO, Mel successfully built Press Ganey from about 30 employees to 800,” Kauffman said. “I am enthusiastic in my support for Mel Hall in this primary election not only because I believe he has the best chance to win in November, but also because of the life he has led up to now.”
“I’m honored to have Mayor Kauffman on my team,” said Hall. “He brought folks from all backgrounds together in Goshen, and under his leadership the city thrived. Mayor Kauffman knows what it takes to be an effective representative and I am thrilled to have him on board.”
This endorsement follows the launch of the Hall campaign’s first two television ads, Jill Long Thompson’s endorsement, and the United Steelworkers endorsement. Hall continues to campaign in all ten counties, where voters are responding to his commitment to protecting Social Security and Medicare, ensuring all Hoosiers have access to quality and affordable health care, and fighting for good-paying jobs.
