SECOND DISTRICT DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE MEL HALL OUTRAISES INCUMBENT WALORSKI IN 4TH QUARTER FUNDRAISING
Hall’s unprecedented fundraising haul of $492,000 leads the pack among Democrats running for Congress in Indiana and leaves him with $430,000 cash-on-hand to start 2018.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Democratic Congressional candidate Mel Hall outraised all other candidates in the 4th Quarter of 2017, raising nearly $500,000. Incumbent Republican Congresswoman Jackie Walorski relied heavily on PAC contributions and special interests to raise $260,000.
“It’s clear that Hoosier voters are ready for a leader who will show up and fight for them in Congress,” said Hall spokesman Max Harris. “From job creation to improving health care for hardworking families, to promoting education and protecting the most vulnerable among us, our message is resonating across the 2nd District. These fundraising numbers are evidence of our growing momentum. It is clear that Mel is the only candidate who can beat Jackie Walorski this fall and bring Hoosier common sense to Washington.”
Hall’s fundraising totals outpaced every Indiana Democrat running for the U.S. House of Representatives this quarter. This news comes on the heels of Hall’s successful office launch. Hall continues to visit all ten counties of the 2nd District regularly to bring his message of accountability and opportunity to folks across the District.
