CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE MEL HALL STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT TRUMP’S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Second District Democratic Congressional candidate Mel Hall released the following statement tonight after President Trump’s State of the Union address:
“It’s now time to work together to find common-sense solutions to the problems facing our country. President Trump’s empty promises – from protecting Hoosier farmers to robust infrastructure investments to making health care more accessible – hurt hard-working Hoosiers and do not improve the lives of the American people.
“I firmly believe that together we can create good-paying jobs in the Second District, continue to make health care more affordable and reliable, and protect DREAMers. Hoosiers are ready to hold the president and Republicans in Washington to their word, and I’m ready to fight for them in Congress.”
